The UK Government announcement on bringing forward the ban on the sale of new petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles is due imminently.
In October 2020, in-conjunction with Brunel University London and Brunel Hive, AddVantage Strategy hosted a webinar, alongside a panel of industry experts, on the future of the automotive industry.
As input to the discussion, Constellation-I, provided primary research (from over 1,000 Car Drivers) that indicated 7 in 10 were either positive or neutral about bringing forward the date from 2040 to 2035 or earlier.
Update: In November 2020, the UK Government brought forward the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles to 2030 and hybrid vehicles to 2035, and launched a 10-point plan for a ‘green industrial revolution’.
